Ingredients:

 

- ½ cup reduced-fat margarine

 

- ½ cup sugar

 

- ¼ cup Splenda

 

- 2 egg whites

 

- ½ cup low-fat buttermilk

 

- ¼ cup molasses

 

- 2 cups flour

 

- ½ teaspoon baking soda

 

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

 

 

 

Instructions:

 

  • Heat the oven to 375 degrees.

  • Cream the margarine and sugar together.

  • Add 1 egg white and mix well, then add the second egg white and mix well.

  • Combine the milk and molasses. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients.

  • Alternately add milk and flour portions to the margarine mixture until all the portions are added.

  • Drop the batter by spoonfuls onto a nonstick baking sheet.

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes.
