Walking And Talking About Eating (WATE)
SOYFISTICATION by Dr. JENICE RANKINS
• While looking for a replacement for milk
• Got the idea to try Soy Silk
• I’m really not sure how I first learned of this drink
• Perhaps my niece Malaika told me…I think
• Now I won’t lie, I’ll tell you the truth
• When Laika mentioned soy..I said: what’s the matter with you?
• Malaika said just get to know soy milk, you’ll have no regrets
• You’ll find it’s always soothing from sun-up to sun-set
• So, first I tried it with frozen fruit
• Strawberries, blueberries, pineapples, mango, to-boot
• Oh my goodness it was so delicious
• And would you believe it’s very nutritious
• As I was thinking on just what to call this wonderful creation
• It came to me…”Soyfistication”
• In search for my taste of preference
• I tried several frozen fruits as reference
• Yet just as sure as the elephant on my Kenyan bandana
• I was sure I would always use a fresh banana
• Please try my first recipe called “Soyfistication”
• I want you to say that it is a sensation!
-
Then, once upon a time I had only frozen strawberries on hand
-
So I just made do…I know you understand
-
The result was a soft red color
-
So, I thought…Why not try another
-
And so I did…I used only blueberries and the result was a deep blue color
-
Then, I thought why not try another
-
And so I did, I tried the mango and it was cream in color
-
Any frozen fruit, you choose; with silk soy you can’t lose
-
It’s a perfect way to buy in bulk and freeze
-
This way you can use what you want whenever you please.
-
So, out of many different shades of shakes was born the name Soyfisticates
-
To describe the color each fruit gives
-
I just add adjectives: Soyfisticated Red (Strawberries), Soyfisticated blue (blueberries),Soyfisticated cream (mango)
